Manchester PR consultancy Toast is growing its presence across the Crown Dependencies after adding three new clients in Jersey and the Isle of Man across the technology, property and innovation sectors.
The agency has been appointed by Jersey-based intelligence platform Yoono, PropTech business Hiizzy and rent-to-own provider Own Homes, adding to a growing portfolio of work connected to the islands.
Toast already works with TEKEX, the founder and investor network bringing together innovation, expertise and private capital across Guernsey, Jersey and the Isle of Man. The consultancy has also previously delivered private aviation PR for the Manx Jet Centre.
Among the new appointments is Yoono, a Jersey-based people-intelligence platform founded by Richard Tavernor. The technology uses AI and open-source intelligence to help users uncover litigation, corporate links, adverse media, ownership networks and other connections in minutes.
Hiizzy, founded by Jersey entrepreneurs Lewis Buckley and Allan Wood, is a PropTech platform giving homeowners the tools to sell their properties themselves. The platform operates on fixed pricing with no commission and is designed to give sellers greater transparency and control throughout the process.
Toast is also working with Own Homes, a rent-to-own provider focused on addressing the deposit barrier facing aspiring homeowners. Its founder and CEO, Chris Lee, was formerly a director of the UK Government’s Help to Buy: Equity Loan scheme. Own Homes enables eligible buyers to rent a new-build home while working towards eventual ownership.
Julia Mitchell (pictured), founder of Toast said, “There’s some genuinely interesting and ambitious businesses being built in Jersey and the Isle of Man currently, particularly around technology, financial services and property.
What they all have in common is an ambition that extends well beyond their location, That plays very naturally into what we do, helping founders find the story that will travel and build their profile with UK media and target audiences.
We’re really enjoying getting to know these markets and the entrepreneurial communities within them and it’s certainly an area we intend to build on.”
