These Terms & Conditions apply to the use of the Rising News website and to content submitted to Rising News.
By using this website or submitting content, you agree to these terms.

Rising News is a UK business publication focused on the people behind businesses, including founders, appointments, promotions, teams, careers and related business stories.

2. Editorial submissions
Rising News accepts both free editorial submissions and paid Priority Review submissions.
Submitting content does not guarantee publication.
All submissions are subject to editorial review. Rising News may:
- accept or decline a submission;
- edit copy for accuracy, clarity, style, length and presentation;
- change headlines and introductions;
- request further information;
- decide when and where accepted content appears; and
- remove or update published content where appropriate.
Final editorial control remains with Rising News.
3. Free editorial submissions
Free submissions are considered through our standard editorial process.
There is no guaranteed review time or publication date for free submissions.
We may choose not to publish a submission and are not required to provide a reason.
4. Priority Review for Press Releases
Priority Review currently costs £59 per submission.
Payment gives the submission priority within our editorial review process. It does not purchase:
- guaranteed publication;
- control over the wording or headline;
- a particular position on the website;
- guaranteed homepage coverage;
- search-engine rankings;
- traffic or audience numbers; or
- backlinks or other SEO results.
We aim to review Priority Review submissions within two working days once payment and the required material have been received. This is a target rather than an absolute guarantee.
If a paid Priority Review submission is not accepted for publication, the £59 fee will be refunded in full.
Nothing in these terms affects any statutory rights that apply.
5. Payment
Payments for Priority Review are processed securely through WooCommerce and Stripe.
Prices shown at checkout are the prices payable for the service at that time.
Rising News may change its prices in the future, but a change will not affect an order that has already been paid for.
6. Content you submit
When submitting material to Rising News, you confirm that:
- the information is accurate to the best of your knowledge;
- you are authorised to submit it;
- it does not knowingly contain false, defamatory, unlawful or misleading material;
- you have the necessary rights or permission to provide any photographs, images, video or other material supplied;
- image credits and attribution information you provide are accurate; and
- publication by Rising News will not knowingly infringe another person’s copyright or other rights.
Please tell us if any information changes or you discover an error after submitting it.
7. Images and other supplied material
Images are subject to editorial approval.
Rising News may crop, resize or make reasonable formatting changes to supplied images for publication.
You must provide an appropriate image credit where required and confirm that the image can legally be used for editorial publication.
We may decline to use an image where its ownership, source or usage rights are unclear.
8. Permission to publish
By submitting content, you give Rising News permission to review, edit, store and, if accepted, publish the supplied material on the Rising News website.
You also give us permission to use reasonable extracts, headlines and supplied images when promoting or sharing the published article through Rising News channels.
You retain ownership of material you own. This permission is non-exclusive.
Published articles may remain within the Rising News archive after publication.
9. Editorial independence
Payment does not give a customer control over Rising News editorial decisions.
Paid Priority Review submissions are assessed through our editorial process and may be edited or rejected.
Whether paid-origin content falls within advertising or other disclosure requirements depends in part on factors such as payment and editorial control.
Where advertising or commercial disclosure is legally or regulatorily required, Rising News may add appropriate labels or disclosures.
10. Corrections and complaints
If you believe something published by Rising News is inaccurate or requires correction, contact: editor@risingnews.co.uk
Please provide the article URL and explain the issue clearly.
We will review correction requests and complaints and make amendments where appropriate.
11. Website content
Rising News aims to provide accurate and useful editorial content, but information may change and occasional errors may occur.
Content on Rising News is provided for general information and should not be treated as professional legal, financial, medical or other specialist advice.
