Daniel Spencer has joined People’s Pension as co-head of fixed income, further strengthening the pension provider’s investment team.
He joins from Brunel Pensions Partnership, where he spent eight years as a portfolio manager and led a multi-billion-pound multi-asset credit portfolio, as well as an emerging markets equity fund.
Spencer brings almost 20 years of investment management experience to the role.
Earlier in his career, he held investment analyst positions at AXA Investment Managers and JP Morgan, building experience across manager selection, portfolio construction, strategic asset allocation and risk modelling.
At People’s Pension, Spencer will work alongside fellow co-head of fixed income Charlotte Vincent.
The appointment comes as the organisation continues to expand its investment function. People’s Pension currently manages more than £45 billion in assets under management.
People’s Pension chief investment officer Dan Mikulskis says: “Daniel’s extensive portfolio management experience makes him an excellent addition to the People’s Pension investment team as we continue to grow rapidly at a pivotal time.”
